The Muggies are a one man band consisting of Josh Paladini, the self-professed "last true defender of rock n' roll." Armed with catchy, funky, intelligent, and original rock songs, as well as a new sound called Mono Deluxe, Paladini is poised to change the face of rock n' roll. A former assistant of Grammy-winning producer/engineer Steve Addabbo (as well as a record store manager for several years), Paladini uses his encyclopedic knowledge of rock n' roll to pull from influences such as ABBA, Van Halen, The Pixies, and The Cars. With a new stage band completed, The Muggies are presently playing shows all over the East Coast, promoting the new CD, "The Muggies First Album" (available on Amazon and iTunes through Popular Records). Engineered by Matt Gill (Fischerspooner, The Raveonettes), "First Album" is 12 cuts of melodic, energetic rock n' roll, featuring "Kiss Me Jane" (Song of the Day on peterspowerpopblog.com), "Right the Angle," and "Groundipals."
