Recording Artist and Record Label Advertising

Broadcast Network for Indie Artists reaches over 15 million KU receivers in the U.S., and worldwide. Our programming is available to over 300 terrestrial radio stations and over 200 million KU band receivers in the world.  The fact that cell phones and computers can now receive our programming means over 1 billion people in the world can hear your music on our network.

Through BN4IA, the network gives the greatest exposure ever offered to an indie artist and our network is growing every day.  It is the best way to introduce your music to the world. You can never promote your music enough.  BN4IA offers advertising packages for the indie artist to promote their music over our network.  Before we introduce you to the advertising packages, here are a few points to consider:

1)     An artist airplay on our radio station is not going to be dictated by advertising..  You do not have to advertise to receive airplay on BN4IA.

2)     Advertising has no guarantee for success. It is up to the listener to like your music and react for an advertising campaign to be successful.

3)    There is no rule of thumb when it comes to adverting.  Some recording artist may advertise when a song is in low spins with the hope of pushing up the spins. Some recording artists may want to wait to see how the song does before they spend money, while others might advertise only when a song is in heavy or hot rotation.  It is up to the recording artist if they want to advertise and when to advertise.

4)     Promote yourselves.  We will send you an mp3 of the commercial or the info commercial so you can put it on your website. Post on Facebook and Myspace the link so your followers can hear, including nightclub owners, concert tour promoters, managers and agents.  When people know you are receiving airplay on our network, it will open doors if you let them know.

Here is a breakdown of the various advertising opportunities for recording artists and/or their record labels on the BN4IA”

Package One:
A 30 second spot features a music bed of one song. Commercial will be tagged at the intro with the name of the band and song. At the endof the commercial, it will be tagged again with the name of the band and song and that it is available at the music store on the BN4IA website. This package can be aired up to 10 times a day.

Package Two:
A 60 second commercial features 1 or 2 songs by the recording artist in the music bed of the commercial. It will be tagged at the beginning of the commercial with the name of the band, song and that it is available at the networks music store. At the end of the commercial the tag will be repeated. We will tag the middle of the commercial if there are two songs in the music bed of the commercial. This package can be aired up to 8 times a day.

Package Three:
The 15 minute info commercial gives the recording artist the opportunity to play 2-3 songs for the listening audience, while telling the listening audience about themselves. One or more members of the band can do the info commercial, introduce themselves and then answer some pre-select questions from the DJ. The info commercial will be aired no more than twice a day.

Package Four:
The 30 minute info commercial gives the recording artist the opportunity to play 4-5 songs for the listening audience, while telling the listening audience about themselves. One or more members of the band can do the info commercial, introduce themselves and then answer some pre-select questions from the DJ. The info commercial will be aired no more than twice a day.

Package Five:
While record labels can use the above to advertise the recording artist on their record label, we also offer a one-hour package so record labels can promote the bands on the label, including bands not receiving radio play on IB4IA. Program can only be aired once a day and only 3 times a week.

Once again, it is important for recording artists to promote themselves.  The 30 and 60 second commercials are designed to create interest in your music and hopefully, sales.  Info commercials are designed for the same thing but have an added advantage of introducing the band to the BN4IA audience.  Do a link to BN4IA to your website so your fans can hear your music on the radio and if you do an info commercial, take the mp3 of the production and post it on your website and promote it through post on Facebook, myspace and others.  Finally, send the mp3 to clubs, school organizations and newspapers in your area, use the mp3 to promote yourself.
